¿What happens at our citizenship events?

In our workshops you will receive a free consultation to verify you are eligible for Naturalization. Afterwards we will help you complete your citizenship application and
we will provide you with mailing instructions
at no cost.
You will also receive the necessary study material for your citizenship exam!

Who is eligible?

To apply for the citizenship through Naturalization you must:

Be 18 years or older.
Be a lawful permanent resident for at least 5 years.
Be a lawful permanent resident for 3 years if currently married to a U.S. citizen.
Speak, read, and write in English.
Knowledge and understanding of U.S. history and government.
Be able to prove good moral character.

What information must you bring when you show up at your appointment?

The following information is necessary to complete your application.

Permanent Resident card, driver's license and Social Security card.
Previous addresses for the past 5 years.
Previous employments for the past 5 years.
Trips outside of the U.S for the past 5 years
Information about your children.
Information of marriages.
Criminal record.

The Intake Packet is a form used by Proyecto Inmigrante as a draft for your application. This draft allows us to have all of the necessary information to complete your citizenship application. You may download and complete the intake before your appointment to streamline the process. Remember that all of your information is handled in a confidential manner.
